Call Mickey Haller
Chronology
Need a lawyer? He runs his law firm out of his Lincoln and is ready to hit the gas. As he moves around Los Angeles, he takes on cases while balancing his personal life, which includes fatherhood and living with two ex-wives. Originally scheduled for a series commitment by CBS in 2020, it was canceled shortly before the first episode was filmed due to COVID.

Netflix has now picked up the series for a 10-episode first season based on Mickey Haller’s second book, The Brass Verdict. Mickey Haller has several cars, all with personalized California license plates with legal terms on them. Personalized California license plates allow a maximum of seven letters/numbers, yet all of Mickey’s license plates have at least eight. Ok, I just finished watching this show and I still don’t understand why people rated it so low.
It definitely deserves at least an 8-85
I was very skeptical to watch this because of the low ratings and not so good reviews but I thought let’s try a few episodes and then decide. I ended up watching 6 episodes in one go. I saw the movie “The Lincoln Lawyer” and we all loved Matthew McConaughey so Manuel Garcia-Rulfo seemed miscast. I think he is also one of the reasons not enough people watch this show because he is not a big name but is actually good as “The Lincoln Lawyer”.
I am waiting for the 2nd season
I liked his acting and will surely watch his other works since I don’t know him very well either. And as for the show, it has all the ingredients for a crime drama. The acting, the pacing of the show and the production, everything is good. If you like shows like BOSCH or other court shows, give it a try and you will like it.
Let’s hope Netflix won’t cancel it
It deserves more attention and love than it is getting. Some movies and shows receive unnecessary hate, and this show is one of them.
