We’re starting a new DC Studios universe
He appeared in AniMat’s Crazy Cartoon Characters: The Return of the King (2023). Following a storyline similar to The Suicide Squad, we join a ragtag team of imprisoned monsters sent on a mission. Positives: *Character-centric.*You don’t have to do your homework and watch 50 hours of movies to know what’s going on. *The action is decently choreographed and easy to follow.
*The animation style is fresh and fits the story very well
Mixed: -Gunn’s humor often feels forced with dated references and weird dialogue. -Not my favorite pin, considering his talent finds the right feel. Final things: -I wasn’t expecting a new formula for the superhero genre, but I’ve seen this type of show many times before. -If you’re here for a little entertainment without any real stakes, you’ll enjoy it.
Overall: 6/10 (with the potential to rise or fall) Terrible?
-In the era of Spider-Verse movies, Arcane, Blue-eyed Samurai, and X-Men 97’s I. needs more emotional investment, and by the time Episode 2 ended, I didn’t care that the rest wasn’t available yet . Not yet.. "One Hundred Years of Solitude" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
