We finished season 3 a few days ago and were very disappointed
I would give seasons 1 and 2 a 9 out of 10, but season 3 only a 4 out of 10. The cancer storyline dominated the entire season, which some people welcomed, but that makes it unwatchable for others. There are multiple scenes in every episode where they just talk about cancer, and in some episodes you don’t even see Superman, or if you do, it’s fleeting.
What a difference!
We survived it though and were relieved when Lex Luthor showed up late in the series and looked more like Superman again. We finished the third season and went straight back to the beginning of the first season. The first season is so beautiful; the action is top-notch, the effects top-notch and the acting top-notch.
It’s like a whole different series
We really hope season 4 goes back to the old Superman and Lois. As a family that has experienced cancer (like most others), Season 3 just didn’t feel like Superman. It was very depressing at times, not an escape from the 'real world' which we need after a hard day at the office.
