It baffles me

Her acting is poor. Why was she cast in this role when there are plenty of actresses to be better at it.

He never disappoints

Her character is not interesting just another role of an obsessive agent.Eddie Redmayne can do anything, his range as an actor is impressive from theater drama, musicals, films. In this role, he is solid in anything he performs.The plot is interesting and catching…..funny how we cheer for the Jackal….

Not for the MÍ 6 agent

The series location is impressive and the plot is high octane thrill. It is not comparable to the original, this is a worthy adaptation to our current times.

In The Day of the Jackal (1973) The Jackal also drives a white Alfa Romeo, albeit an earlier generation model. Eddie Redmayne is outstanding in Day of the Jackal, bringing depth and intensity to his role and commanding the audience with his every move.

However, Lashana Lynch feels a little out of place in her role

Her performance elevates the story, adding layers of intrigue that make for a compelling lead. While talented, his performance doesn’t quite match Redmayne’s nuanced performance, which sometimes disrupts the flow and immersion.

A stronger leadership would have raised this

Makes you wonder about the casting choices – could any other pairing have made this an instant classic? A stronger balance between the main characters could have given the epic impact that the story deserves.

Securing a license to film a lavish dance sequence on Regent Street in London took a year and a half to be owned by the British royal family. Two nights before the scheduled shooting, after spending the whole week in rehearsals, Queen Elizabeth II passed away, so the shooting had to be postponed. Everyone had to be paid anyway, including the shop owners and the crew, and production insurance did not cover losses due to the monarch’s death. The producers had to raise additional funds to film the sequence, which was shot five months later. The title character, Robbie Williams, is portrayed as a chimpanzee. Robbie Williams is not actually a chimp.
