When asked by Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel, and Bill Lawrence how Harrison Ford was cast in the show, Segel said that Goldstein initially wanted a “Harrison Ford type,” and was going to audition people who looked like Ford. Segel told Goldstein that he thought he would at least bring it to Ford, but at least he would get the word out that Harrison Ford had brought the project to him, generating interest from other famous actors.

Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince him, but he’s excited nonetheless. I’ve watched the first two episodes and found them fascinating.
Other therapists should do and that’s pretty clear
Part of the reason for that is that I find it to be a reality-based show about a therapist who needs therapy and unexpectedly needs to break down his own issues to help him. I also respect the way it’s presented – it’s not something he doesn’t do.
The show isn’t for everyone
It hasn’t gotten to the silly situations of other shows like Loot, but it’s still early in the series and I’ll continue to watch it. That being said, I enjoy the depth of the characters that don’t come across as caricatures; they’re people I want to get to know.
