Chronology

In The Day of the Jackal (1973) The Jackal also drives a white Alfa Romeo, albeit an earlier generation model. Eddie Redmayne is outstanding in Day of the Jackal, bringing depth and intensity to his role and commanding the audience with his every move.
However, Lashana Lynch feels a little out of place in her role
Her performance elevates the story, adding layers of intrigue that make for a compelling lead. While talented, his performance doesn’t quite match Redmayne’s nuanced performance, which sometimes disrupts the flow and immersion.
A stronger leadership would have raised this
Makes you wonder about the casting choices – could any other pairing have made this an instant classic? A stronger balance between the main characters could have given the epic impact that the story deserves.
